“The future is in your hands, so wash them often.”                       Dr. Bonnie Henry

We are excited to be opening our doors once again to assist you with your health and wellbeing and would like to share with you the steps we are taking to minimize the risk of spread of the corona virus which causes COVID-19.

Our success in moving forward depends on honesty, respect, good communication and patience with each other as we adjust to the new way of doing things during this pandemic.

With direction from the BC Provincial Health Office and the College of Massage Therapists of BC  our new protocols currently are :

New Consent form specific to addressing COVID19 will be discussed prior to treatment.  Please consider that in the current environment of COVID-19:

  1.     any massage therapy treatment involves risk of COVID-19 transmission

  2.     we are following a protocol to reduce or mitigate risk, but that risk cannot be reduced to zero

Pre-screening for symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness a day before and at time of arrival for treatment - for both clients and RMT’s.  Expect an email one day prior to EVERY future treatment.

Screening for symptoms upon arrival for appointment.  Your appointment will be cancelled if you exhibit signs and symptoms of illness.  Please note: if you are not able to make your appointment, for whatever reason, you cannot send in a family member or friend to take your place since proper screening with that person has not been possible.

Masks: Please bring one with you.  If you are not able to, we will provide one for you at a cost of $2.00.  (Please note that this item is not claimable for reimbursement  and will not appear on your receipt for treatment.)  While masks are currently not mandatory, they are recommended when physical distancing is not possible for extended periods of time.  Clearly, giving and receiving massage therapy treatments does not allow for physical distancing.  Your appointment can be refused if you are not willing to wear a mask if your therapist requests it.

Physical distancing measures for outside the treatment room:

When arriving, please wait outside the clinic door until your therapist opens the door and welcomes you in. The door will be locked. (Please be aware of this and plan ahead in case you might urgently need to use a washroom before we can let you in.)

Please wait in the designated area by the clinic door.

We ask that you do not bring family or friends with you and that you do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your treatment.   If the client is a minor or needs assistance, a parent/guardian or assistant is, of course, allowed.  If you are a new client: please arrive at least 10 minutes to fill out the health history form etc.

Appointments are being staggered to reduce the amount of people in the clinic and building hallway at one time.

Hand washing is required upon entering and exiting the clinic.  Hand washing appears to be the most effective way to limit the spread of the virus as well as proper covering of coughs and sneezes and avoidance of touching your mouth, eyes and nose.

Hand sanitizer will also be available for use.

Cleaning and disinfecting of treatment tables and face rests, frequently touched surfaces will be extensive and done in between client appointments.
